Alina Jodko, 3rd year journalism student.
I wanted to become a journalist because I believe in the power of a story. Journalism can really make a difference in the world. This profession gives you an opportunity to grow. It also teaches you not to judge book by it’s cover, keep an open mind, ask questions and look deeper. It also gives journalists an opportunity to meet interesting people that they wouldn't otherwise meet. I am a curious and empathetic person, and I always try to hear both sides of the story. I don’t like to rush because I want to analyze all the details, which I hope makes me trustworthy as a journalist. I gained some experience during my internships. The last one was at 15min news. I want not only to be a good journalist, but also a good storyteller. It’s important to inform people and state the facts, but it’s also important to make people care and relate to the story. |
